ARIES              May I recommend that the first few days of May be spent in hibernation!  With the planets in crazy mode it’s best for ram people to avoid all forms of confrontation and sharp objects.  But this energy also heralds exciting goodies full of stimulus and growth if you proceed cautiously and watch your step…literally. This month you’ll find out just how conscious you are…by the choices you make and your reactions to others.  The green dragon dollars are under the influence of Saturn & Neptune from the 10th through 15th, so if you do nothing else be sure to add up the figures very carefully.  Life becomes much chirpier as Mars enters Aries mid month and your feisty and fearless spirit returns once more.

TAURUS            Birthday time is the ‘commencement’ of a fresh 12 month cycle so your attitude now has everything to do with what you’ll create in the year ahead.  So if necessary get out your ‘cheerful’ pills and make like a caring tolerant person despite your urge to run screaming from the house. Your physical energy won’t be great so don’t push too hard and try not to be hard on others.  Until mid month your challenge is to find the balance between your own self interests and other people’s needs.  And with ongoing confusion shrouding career areas perhaps the solution lies in defining your own goals rather than remaining under the influence of others? Late month brings excellent networking and social contacts. 

GEMINI            An enlightening conversation or piece of news on the 1st allows you to make a career decision with far reaching implications.  May’s planets support big ideas but plans must be tempered with realistic and objective reasoning. Should a difference of opinion arise or a project run into difficulties try not to go into abort mode on the 7th.  As Mercury comes home to Gemini later month another round of movement and stimulus kicks in, and as he connects with both Jupiter and Uranus you can count on further adventures both mentally and people-wise.  Opportunities or growth with and through partners will require releasing the past and moving on into fresh territory.  Don’t take old hurts and unresolved issued with you.

CANCER            As May opens be careful to practice what you preach and maintain a tolerant perspective.  Sometimes we miss major opportunities to grow by remaining closed to new ideas or the people who bring them just because they don’t fit our image.  Uranus in dynamic aspect with Jupiter challenges you to integrate new ideas, information and technology into your daily work areas.  Yes dinosaur ways and attitudes mean you’ll be extinct like them sooner than you think if you miss the boat now.  If you’ve been a good hard working crab of late then May’s steady financial trends will stock up the coffers.  With harmonious Venus in your sign from the 10th your general demeanor and people balancing skills flow well.

LEO                  You may have to dig deep to get excited about life as May opens but hey that’s the way it goes sometimes…cycles will be cycles.  The rather laborious feeling around career areas means you just have to do what needs doing and be a good lion, knowing your efforts will actually lead to some terrific outcomes as the month unfolds. If issues arise with partners around 10th through 13th just be clear about things and ask for the same. Your creative juices flow well all month especially if directed toward a learning or teaching situation.  And with fiery Mars in enterprising Aries from mid-month your “chutzpah” returns with a flourish.  He’s also in your travel sector for few months so a good time to fly the coop.

LIBRA              A great time to further projects and for adventures of all kinds as May opens, but it ain’t about reckless or madly impulsive moves…OK?  You have heaps of vitality and energy but probably not much staying power as mutable planets keep life interesting and varied…but not very stable.  Around the 10th through 13th you may have to deal with joint finances or pay the bills for all that fun you had.  With Mars in your partnership zone from the 16th for a few months remember to work ‘with’ others rather than battle against them.  Life expands out again by later month with further learning, travel or teaching in your stars, and by the 25th Venus brings unexpected developments in work/career areas.  

SCORPIO            Take great care if offered a ‘get rich scheme’ early month as if it too good to be true then it is!  But for some there can be finances coming back to you from friends or associates you’ve invested with.  There’s also creative developments around a child/ren regarding a learning program or change in routine. There’s always business to attend to when Saturn is highlighted as is the case around the 10th, and even if pressure from partners toward their agendas pushes your buttons it’s wise to listen and learn rather than attempt to control or overpower others with “my way or no way” type behaviours.  As Mars enters your work sector after the 16th for a few months it’s time to pull out all stops and go for it!

SAGITTARIUS            Lucky you Archers are versatile souls, as this month stretches your capacity to hold the charge for sustainable work output, and also manage some high octane volatile energies.  This is indeed a productive work cycle demanding plenty of focus and commitment to projects.  Your authority in your field gains recognition and accolades and/or offers arrive for promotion.  Meanwhile family and partner zones are anything but predictable, and in this “lucky” Pig year there is much to be gained once you allow the release of the previous 12 year cycle.  New homes and partners can replace old ones very quickly under these influences. From mid month Mars brings creativity & fun into your life…time to party! 

CAPRICORN                 Remaining adaptable is your quest for the month, and as this is not your strong point the need for “adaptation” may arrive in your lap via work based situations.  Your restlessness is the result of trying to maintain a status quo that is past its use by date, so sharpen your ideas and make room for innovative approaches.  Perhaps it’s time to move on?  Or if you choose to stay how can you do things differently.  The urge for freedom is enormous now and if you stay calm and avoid impulsiveness you will see the opportunities to get ahead or free up old restrictions.  Venus in your zone of love and relating from the 10th suggests that support from your nearest and dearest may be just what you need.

AQUARIUS                  Take a deep breath and prepare for another date with task master Saturn early month, as you strive to develop and consolidate all your efforts of this past few years. Yes I know you’re “over it” but if you continue to persevere right now the rewards are rich by the time you reach September and the pressure begins to fall away!  There are also some terrific creative planets at play in the mix.  Stimulus and fun is to be found in group and team connections with the chance to do some really transformational things for both yourself and others. Both friends and children are in expansive phases so don’t be surprised by news of change. And there’s positive news for the bank account by month’s end.

PISCES                        The blue bird of happiness may be hiding out as May unfolds but have faith dear fishy ones it’s only a short dose of the doldrums while you knuckle down and get some work done.  This is a time to apply your vision and foresight to really practical outcomes, so sort facts from fiction and any obstacles encountered are to test your ability to give ‘form’ to your ideals.  Remember if we can’t dream it we can’t make it happen unless we are willing to put our ‘everything’ into it.  The home front continues to be a source of surprising shifts and changes and with Uranus and Jupiter make sure your urge for freedom does not mean you throw out the baby with the bathwater. Innovation must be your intention.
