BRING ON THE “GREEN REVOLUTION”

4. Saturn in Virgo

Let’s now add another ingredient to the mix in the 2009 chart in the form of Saturn in Virgo.  Fortunately he is forming a positive aspect to the Capricorn group of planets already outlined.  As the “Lord of Matter”… and coincidently the ruling planet of Capricorn… he concerns himself with the practical implementation of earthy concerns.  Good-oh!! He is been in Virgo since September 2006 and remains there until November 2009. (Once again for an in-depth article go to create link to Saturn in Virgo article)  In that article I discussed “Earth” based environmental function. “Well get ready for ‘being green’ to become not only popular but the only way to go.  Big subjects such as Carbon Trading, (how big is your ‘Carbon Footprint’?) and other means of offering incentive for industry and private individuals to “go green” are set to occupy the airwaves.” I also discussed the food shortages and general issues regarding food and health and so on. 

 

Well Astrology does indeed work folks as these key issues are now front and centre.  As Saturn continues his passage through Virgo in 2009 I gain further ‘hope’ that we may indeed see the beginning of implementation of practical solutions beginning to emerge with the major force of Saturn at the helm.  There is now much discussion of the “New Green Deal”. President Obama has already discussed this concept in a recent interview.  I will develop this material a little further in this article later on…stay tuned!

 

The second signature involves The Moon, Venus, Chiron, Neptune and North Node in the sign of Aquarius (sign of innovation, technology, group consciousness) in the 5th house of creative expression.  We like this!! So let’s break it up a bit here and see what’s on offer:      The Moon reflects the “Group Soul” of our planet and her people.  This is the instinctive urge of the collective at an emotional or subjective level over the year ahead. Venus contains the urge for co-operative interaction and diplomatic function. Chiron contains the ‘healing crisis’ necessary before we can move beyond the lower nature… or emotionally driven insecurities. Neptune is the unifying force that inspires us beyond the personal. North Node tells us about the collective destiny. This is a very ‘sweet’ signature containing beneficial forces for global diplomatic activity along with brilliant ideas, technological innovation and ‘magnetic attractive’ idealism.

 

5. Jupiter Joins Other Planets in Aquarius

On January 6th progressive expansive Jupiter enters Aquarius for the first time in 12 years. This is an incredibly important addition to the Aquarian contingent of planets.  In Esoteric Astrology Jupiter is the ruler of Aquarius and he is the 2nd Ray Lord of “Love Wisdom”. This tells us that the purpose of life is to become “conscious”… and consciousness is Love. So every 12 years when Jupiter comes through Aquarius another level of the human potential movement arises. Imagine for a moment progressing forward and upwards in the energetic spiral of our evolutionary process each time the King of the Solar System comes calling in the sign of collective humanity, and you’ll get the idea! Individually we are all challenged to move closer to our true dreams and ideals and begin to live them. Collectively we are all challenged to admit to the healing crisis that currently confronts our planet and uplift our consciousness toward the ideal of a better humanity.  

 

By May 2009 Jupiter joins with Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius and we begin several months of this very rare triple conjunction. Quite how this will manifest of course remains to be seen, but it is not hard to imagine this may be the timing for some kind of unique meeting or ‘think tank’ of leaders/ scientists/environmental specialists/financial strategists to create a new co-operative team to tackle the pressing issues currently confronting our global system.  Unification is a central idea here as this is the primary tenant of Aquarius. President Obama will have been in office for 4 months as this conjunction begins, and by December as it completes we should have a new game plan in place that includes a consensus of all the major players on the world stage…i.e. countries and influential political and business leaders. I would say that “The New Green Deal” already mentioned will be a feature of this progressive phase in human affairs. (5)

Personally this fabulous meeting of planets signals a time of us all needing to awaken a deeper compassion in our natures as we are inspired to release old patterns that allow us to surrender to and embrace this beautiful new wave of inspirational change. There are many people who have been working behind the scenes for many years creating the ground-force of intention and practical solutions to support what lies ahead.  It is imperative that we talk positively even when the chips appear to be down.  They are the ‘old chips’ and they no longer work… they never did!  We must release our attachment to material “goodies” that just kept us in the thrall of “consumerism” spending money we have not got on things we do not need… just to sell shares in companies that do not serve the greater good!  Invest your money in products and services that are sustainable and progressive!!  Give things away! Let go!!  You will find you have more than enough especially if loving relationships and a nurturing daily life are your true treasures!!
